Dubai: A rare success against Pakistan in the UAE, a good workout against minnows Hong Kong – and two wins out of two. Team India are safely into the Super Fours of the Asia Cup.
It was time to relax for Rahul Dravid’s boys ahead of the sterner battles as the coach gave them a day off.
There is plenty to do in Dubai, and the cricketers hit the unwind button in style at a beach near Dubai.
Skipper Rohit Sharma tried kayaking, while young guns like Arshdeep Singh and Suryakumar Yadav did some surfing.
The entire squad also enjoyed a game of beach volleyball,
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video on social media with the caption: “When #TeamIndia hit 𝗨.𝗡.𝗪.𝗜.𝗡.𝗗! 👏 Time for some surf, sand & beach volley! 😎 #AsiaCup2022.”
“It was an off-day so Rahul Dravid sir decided that we should have some fun activities. It was good fun, and relaxing. We had some great fun. You can see how everyone is happy and excited. This all helps in creating team bonding,” leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal says in the video.
