Ahmedadabad: Virat Kohli is known to be an aggressive cricketer who doesn’t yield an inch to the opposition on the field. The Team India captain has often got engaged in animated discussions and war of words with rival cricketers or umpires, whenever he has felt that a fellow-player or the team has been wronged.
The third Test saw him having a heated exchange with the umpire after a leg-before appeal against England captain Joe Root was turned down. On Thursday, the opening day of the fourth and final Test against England, the Team India captain got into a heated argument with England all-rounder Ben Stokes.
The incident took place in the 13th over of the England innings, when Mohammed Siraj bowled a bouncer to Stokes and gave a typical fast bowler’s stare at the batsman. Stokes responded with a few words which Siraj ignored. But Kohli approached Stokes and gave him a piece of his mind.

Stokes was not one to shy away. It looked like getting uglier, but umpires Nitin Menon and Virender Sharma moved in to separate the duo.
As Stokes was returning to his crease, Kohli had another go at Stokes. Umpire Sharma had to once again intervene and calm the players down.
Stokes top-scored with 55 as England were bowled out for 205. India were 24/1 at stumps on Day 1.
