Mumbai: The murder of Baba Siddique, claimed to be committed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has created a flutter in the film industry.
Four accused in the case have been arrested by Mumbai police, and security has been tightened for Salman Khan, who has been on the gang’s hitlist for long.
Amidst all the hubbub, Jani Firefox Film Production has announced a web series on the life of gangster Lawrence.
According to a report in News18, Indian Motion Pictures Association has already shown shown the green flag to a web series titled ‘Lawrence – A Gangster Story’.
The web series will showcase the transformation of Lawrence into a dreaded gangster, according to reports.
Amit Jani, head of Jani Firefox Film Production, said that he “aimed to engage the audience with a dramatic and true-to-life story.”
Among the projects backed by Jani Firefox Film Production are ‘A Tailor Murder Story’ and ‘Karachi to Noida’.
The Bishnoi gang has issued a fresh threat to Bollywood superstar Salman, demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore to spare him for hunting a black buck, which is considered sacred by the Bishnoi community.
“Don’t take it lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he will have to pay ₹5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan’s condition will be worse than Baba Siddique,” read the threat note sent to Salman.
Salman’s close friend Siddique was shot dead on October 12.
