Jharsuguda: In view of rising COVID-19, the weekend shutdown in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district has been extended till August 31.
Jharsuguda Collector Saroj Kumar Samal, however, informed that public movement will be allowed on Independence Day (August 15) from 7 am to 11 am to allow people to attend unfurling of flags.
“Heads of Office Establishments and Institutions including the educational ones will host the National Flag. The maximum attendance at all places including that of private organizations/units will be ten. Distancing will be maintained in the congregation. There will be no procession anywhere. Further, the district function will be limited to invitees only,” the official order said.
Similarly, on Nuakhai (August 23), the market will remain from 7 am to 1 pm.
However, no pillion ride on the motorcycle will be allowed, it added.
