Mumbai: Ahead of her 40th birthday on January 5, actress Deepika Padukone hosted 50 fans from across the country in a private fan meet in Mumbai.
Photos and videos from the gathering, in which the actress treated her fans with some quality time, a delectable buffet, customised surprises, handwritten notes and grand gift hampers, have now gone viral on social media.
According to a fan, the actress paid for the flight tickets of guests, who attended the event, and gifted them 5 kg gift hampers, which apparently cost around Rs 15,000 each.
The grand hampers included a weighted blanket, with prices ranging from Rs 4500-12000, a H&M silk eye mask worth Rs 1200, an IKEA ROSENSKÄRM ergonomic pillow worth Rs 1690, and a few products from her skincare brand 82°E, including a Lotus Splash Conditioning Cleanser worth Rs 1200, Ashwagandha Bounce Face Moisturizer costing Rs 960, and a Rs 930 worth Turmeric Shield Sunscreen.
Not just this, but the fans, who flew down to Mumbai from various states for the event, were received from the airport by cars arranged by Deepika’s team.
Each car had a welcome basket with different snacks including a box of nuts and seeds, an ORS tetra pack, bottled coconut water, etc. and a letter titled ‘A Day Of Gratitude With Deepika Padukone’ waiting for the guests.
“Thank you for taking the time and making the journey today…I look forward to seeing you soon!” read the letter.
A fan shared a glimpse of the buffet, which included fancy food items from chicken, fish to cheese platters, bite-sized pastries and delicious gourmet drinks.
The venue had a big Christmas tree, personalised Christmas ornaments for fans, and a wall for handwritten notes for the actress.
Deepika made sure to read all the letters from her fans and met each of them personally.

The actress celebrated her 40th birthday in the US with friends and family members.
On her birthday, she also announced a new initiative which aims to empower the next generation of creative talent.
Sharing a video on her Instagram handle, the actress wrote, “This past year, I’ve been feeling very strongly about identifying incredible creative talent from across the country and beyond and giving them a platform to be seen, heard and experienced. I am beyond thrilled to announce the launch of The OnSet Program and truly cannot wait to introduce all of you to the next generation of creative talent.”
On work front, after walking out of ‘Spirit’ and ‘Kalki 2’, the actress is currently prepping up for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’, which also stars Suhana Khan.
She will also be seen in Atlee’s next ‘AA22 x A6’ alongside Allu Arjun.
