Goghat: A BJP youth wing leader’s body was found at his Hooghly district home in West Bengal, police said on Sunday.
The body of 21-year-old Soubhik Mukherjee was recovered from his Goghat house on Saturday night.
According to police, Mukherjee was the Goghat Mandal (unit) president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).
A police officer said that Mukherjee’s body was sent for postmortem and further investigation into the matter was on.
BJP claimed that Mukherjee was a victim of Trinamool Congress’ conspiracy, a charge that the ruling party denied.
TMC has made a counterclaim that the man had a strained relationship with a teenage girl and he had committed suicide.
