Bhubaneswar: A western disturbance is set to impact Odisha from Saturday and bring rain to the state over the weekend, India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Friday.
Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are already experiencing rains, thundershowers, gusty winds and hail under the influence of the system.
The weather agency has also forecast fairly widespread rainfall/snowfall over Western Himalayan region on December 27-28.
In Odisha, there is a yellow warning of dense fog for one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, and Nabarangpur till December 28 morning. Shallow to moderate fog may also occur at one or two places over the district of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Keonjhar.
On December 28, light rain is likely at one or two places in Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur and Sonepur districts. Light rain may continue at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kandhamal and Kalahandi during the subsequent 24 hours.
The night temperature may drop by 2-4 degree Celsius thereafter with dry weather prevailing across the state, it added.
