Bhubaneswar: As apps become fancier and heavier, they require newer devices to run as well. WhatsApp is ending support on older Android and iOS phones next year.
The popular messaging app will no longer support phones running Android 4.3 or older, and iOS 9 or older.
This means iPhone 5 series and older ones will no longer support WhatsApp.
To be sure whether WhatsApp will work or not, go to Settings on your phone and tap on General and then About to check which version of iOS you are using. Similarly, on Android go to ‘About Phone’ under settings and check.
If your phone lets you update to a newer version of the operating system, you can update and run WhatsApp.
