Wheelchairs Arranged For Physically Challenged At Puri Jagannath Temple, ASI Tells HC
Cuttack: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Monday informed the Orissa High Court that the arrangements for wheelchairs for physically-challenged devotees have been made at Jagannath Temple in Puri.
The ASI in its affidavit also informed the court that the design of the ramp on which the physically challenged devotees will be taken to the temple has been sent to the ASI Director General for approval.
In another affidavit, senior lawyer NK Mohanty, appointed as amicus curiae by the High Court to submit a status report on Sun Temple at Konark, said that with regards to the sand filling inside Jagmohan and the original diagram of the temple, the report of the Roorkee-based Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) is awaited.
