Mumbai: Raveena Tandon has turned 47 today but her looks belie the age of this timeless actress who was known for her glamour quotient in the 1990s and ruled the silver screen with top heroes of the time.
She delivered a slew of hits before getting married to filmmaker Anil Thandani in 2004. Before that, she had taken the unconventional and bold step of adopting two girls.
Raveena remained in the headlines for her controversial relationships with many leading actors of Bollywood from Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol to Akshay Kumar. Her most torrid affair was said to be with Akshay Kumar, who she claims cheated on her.
Sanjay Dutt: Raveena had a crush on her ‘Zamane Se Kya Darna’ (1994), ‘Aatish’ (1994) and ‘Vijeta’ (1996) co-star. “In my childhood days, I was a fan of Rishi Kapoor and then when I grew up a bit, I had a crush on Sanjay Dutt. I have worked with him in seven films. I used to be very scared while working with him as I couldn’t believe that I was actually doing a film with someone whose posters were all over my room’s wall. I had a huge crush on him, ” she had said in an interview.
Ajay Devgn: Raveena and Ajay were said to be in love. Some media reports claim that Raveena was so badly heartbroken that she had to visit a psychiatrist many times.
Akshay Kumar: Her relationship with Akshay Kumar was very serious and the two were even said to be engaged. They were a hit couple with their on-screen chemistry in films such as ‘Mohra’, ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’ and ‘Barood.’ They parted ways in 1998.
Sunny Deol: Raveena was also said to be linked with Sunny Deol on the rebound after her break-up with Akshay Kumar. She starred with him in ‘Ziddi.’
