New Delhi: As part of preparations for a trip to Nainital, a man ordered a pack of condoms on Swiggy Instamart while he was in office.
He was to leave the same evening, so he thought opting for quick-delivery service would be a good idea to avoid leaving this important shopping till the last moment.
But it actually turned out to be an ill-advised and ‘idiotic’ move.
When the delivery executive arrived at the given address, the customer asked him to leave the package at the office reception.
When he went to collect it after some time, the man was left totally embarrassed to find the condoms packed in a transparent plastic carry bag, leaving little to the imagination.
“Swiggy Instamart ruined me!” Reddit user Manan Singh wrote on the platform’s Delhi community.
“Buying condoms isn’t a big deal, but I usually order them from Blinkit because they send them in a discreet brown package. This time, I decided to try Swiggy Instamart while I was at the office, assuming they’d use the same kind of packaging,” he explained.
“Like an idiot, I told them to drop it off at the office reception desk,” he confessed.
“To my horror, the package was left there in plain view, right in front of the receptionist. Now, the entire office probably think I do seggs at work!” the man lamented.
Within hours of the ‘condom kissa’ being posted on Reddit, there were close to 10,000 upvotes and comments aplenty.
“Distribute your embarrassment to your colleagues,” suggested a Reddit user.
“Who in the right mind would order condoms at work?” was another response.
“Ordering condoms at office at front desk with staff will trigger POSH policy if person receiving it felt uncomfortable, repeated instances can have consequences,” suggested another person.
The user later deleted his detailed post.
