When Randhir Kapoor Slammed Karisma’s Ex-Husband Sunjay Kapur, Called Him ‘A Third-Class Man’

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Karisma Kapoor’s marriage to businessman Sunjay Kapur, and the turbulent divorce that followed, is known to all.

The high-profile divorce proceedings made headlines daily, with both Karisma and Sunjay hurling abuses at each other.

Amid the controversial divorce, Karisma’s father, veteran actor Randhir Kapoor, had blasted his ex-son-in-law Sunjay in public and called him a “third class man”.

In a throwback interview with Hindustan Times, Randhir said, “Sunjay is a third class man. I never wanted Karisma marrying him. He has debauchery in his system and never cared for his wife. He has been giving bull*** to her, and living with another woman. The entire Delhi knows how he is. I would not like to say anything more than this.”

Radhir’s criticism came after Sunjay alleged that Karisma married him for money.

Karisma’s lawyer Kranti Sathe refuted Sunjay’s allegation. “The allegations against Karisma are all false. We shall soon give a reply, but the onus is on Sunjay to prove these allegations in the court,” he said.

Karisma and Sunjay got married in 2003 and have two children, Samaira and Kiaan.

Sunjay, chairman of Sona Comstar, passed away in London following a cardiac arrest on June 12.
