Know Where Zomato & Swiggy Will Deliver Alcohol In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Hours after the government permitted home delivery of liquor, the Excise Commissioner allocated particular cities to food delivery apps for the same.

Zomato has been given permission to deliver liquor in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur and Puri and Swiggy in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur and Rourkela.

Apart from these, liquor retailers will also be allowed to deliver using their own staff. It is important to note that no sale will be permitted at the counters to prevent queues. On/Off shops have been directed to display their numbers clearly. The excise department will list the MRPs along with delivery and extra charges for all counters. Home delivery of liquor can be received by the retailers over the phone or through SMS, WhatsApp and email.

Also, there will be an extra 50 per cent COVID fee on MRP of bottles and cans.

The service will start from Sunday and will be allowed between 7am and 6pm.
