Bhubaneswar: Animal lovers of Odisha will have an opportunity to see some new species as the authorities of the Nandankanan zoo, on the outskirts of the city, have decided to bring white rhinoceros, African lion and other exotic animals.
Informing this to the media here on Friday, director of the Nandankanan Biological Park, Sashi Paul, said that talks are on with the Singapore government to bring a white rhinoceros while efforts are on to bring African lion from Sri Lanka.
“We are also planning to bring other exotic and endangered species,” he added.
On the development of infrastructure at the zoo, Paul said one over-bridge along the toy train route will be constructed to facilitate the visitors to reach the ropeway point.
