Hyderabad: Allu Arjun’s much anticipated ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ has got a new item girl. And it’s not Shraddha Kapoor, Tripti Dimrii or Janhvi Kapoor.
Well, the film’s makers have roped in Sreeleela to shake a leg with Allu in a special dance number. Sreeleela is an American actress of Indian origin who works in Telugu and Kannada cinema.
“Allu Arjun is a terrific dancer and very few could match up with him in speed and grace. Sreeleela has been roped for a special song in ‘Pushpa The Rule’ since she is a very good dancer,” Deccan Chronicle reported quoting a source.
“Her dances in songs like ‘Pulsar Bike’ and ‘Jinthak’ in ‘Dhamaka’, and her ‘Kurichi Madathapeti’ song with Mahesh Babu in ‘Guntur Karam’ became a rage,” the source said.
Dismissing rumours about Bollywood actresses being roped in for the dance number, the source said: “Lot of speculations and names have been doing the rounds, the production house has nothing to do with it. Being a pan-India movie, they were looking for a popular actress who can also dance and found Sreeleela who aptly fit the bills. Apart from dancing, she is going to make her debut in Bollywood soon.”
The item song ‘Oo Antava Mama’, starring Samantha Ruth, in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was a hit. Fans are thus eagerly waiting for the special dance number in the second instalment of Pushpa franchise.
Besides Allu, ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, Fahadh Faasil, Dhananjaya, Sunil, Anasuya, Rao Ramesh, Divi Vadthya, and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari in other important roles.
