Berhampur: A woman was found dead at Bendalia village under Sadar police limits in Berhampur of Ganjam district on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Pratima Behera.

Some locals, who spotted the body lying in a pool of blood, alerted the police.
Police and scientific team were pressed into action to collect evidences.
“It appears the woman was attacked by some miscreants when she had gone to answer a nature’s call near her house”, a police officer said.
In another incident, a woman, Rojalin Khuntia, was critically injured after she slit her throat, owing to a family feud at Kajhanga village in Kendrapara district.
She was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
