Bhubaneswar: The BJP seems to be on a mission mode for the upcoming elections in Odisha with its national leaders touring the state in quick successions.
On Thursday, senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be in Odisha on a day visit. And he announced his upcoming three districts tour with a post on X. “Tomorrow, 22nd February, I shall be on a cluster tour in Odisha. Looking forward to address Karyakarta Sammelans at Nabarangapur & Berhampur and a public meeting at Mayurbhanj,” he tweeted.
BJP’s Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal had earlier informed that Singh will arrive in Nabarangpur by a special helicopter from Jagdalpur Airport in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar in the morning and attend the party’s core committee meeting from 11 am to 12 noon.
Thereafter, he will proceed to Jagdalpur Airport from where he will leave for Berhampur by a special chopper. He will arrive at Rangaelunda airs trip in Berhampur at 1.30 pm and address a executive members meeting between 1.45 pm and 2.45 pm.
The Union Minister will then take the chopper for Mayurbhanj around 3 pm. After landing at Amarda air strip, he will attend executive members meeting from 4 pm to 5 pm.
He will then leave for Delhi around 5.30 pm.
Samal had earlier informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may undertake a visit to the state again on February 28. The PM was in Sambalpur on February 3.
The BJP, which won 8 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats and 23 of the 147 assembly seats in the 2019 elections, is eyeing 51% vote share in the upcoming polls.
