Mumbai: The casting for the fifth instalment of Raghava Lawrence’s horror comedy franchise ‘Kanchana’ is complete.
While Lawrence is yet to announce the cast of ‘Kanchana 4’, sources told Hindustan Times that Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi have been roped in for the film.
“Raghava Lawrence is going to direct Kanchana 4 next. There are two heroines in this film, Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi will star in it. The story writing for the film has been completed. Shooting is set to begin for it as soon as possible,” the source said.
Earlier, there were rumours about Mrunal Thakur being a part of the film, but the actor-filmmaker rubbished the rumours. “Hi friends and fans, All the information regarding Kanchana 4 and casting that are circulating around social media are just rumors. Official announcement will be made through Ragavendra Production. Coming soon!”
‘Kanchana 4’ couldn’t go on floors last year because of pre-production and casting issues.
Raghava appears as the lead actor in all the movies. The first instalment of the franchise titled ‘Muni’ was released in 2007, followed by ‘Muni 2: Kanchana’ in 2011, ‘Kanchana 2’ and ‘Kanchana 3’ in 2015 and 2019, respectively.
