Winter Chill Continues Unabated In Odisha; G Udayagiri Shrivers At 5°C
Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Kandhamal district continued to shiver for the fifth consecutive day with the mercury dropping further to 5°C at G Udayagiri, India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Friday.
Similiguda in Koraput recorded 5.5°C followed by Phulbani (Koraput) at 7°C and Kirei (Sundargarh) at 7.5°C.
With a coldwave sweeping the state, six places recorded a night temperature of 10°C and below:
G Udayagiri (Kandhamal): 5°C
Similiguda (Koraput): 5.5°C
Phulbani (Kandhamal): 7°C
Kirei (Sundargarh): 7.5°C
Daringbadi (Kandhamal): 9.5°C
Sundargarh: 10°C
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 14°C each.

According to IMD, no large change in night temperature will be experienced during the next 2 days and a gradual rise by 2 to 4°C will take place thereafter at many places in the state.
