Sonepur: Four members of a family sustained critical burn injuries at Nuapada village in Tarabha of Sonepur district on Wednesday.
The injured included a couple and their two kids. The couple have been identified as Tiku Soren and Kausalya.
According to sources, the couple had frequent fights over the drinking habit of Tiku. They had a heated argument over this, following which, Kausalya allegedly tried to set herself on fire. In a bid to save her, Tiku and his children were engulfed in the flames.
The injured family members were rushed to the Bhimabhoi Medical College and Hospital. Their health condition is stated to be critical.
On being informed, police reached the hospital and started investigation into the matter.
