Bhubaneswar: A woman has brought serious allegations against Odia actor Riya Dey and her husband and accused them of torturing her physically and mentally.
The woman, who claimed to have worked as a caretaker at Riya’s place, alleged that the actor and her husband subjected her to domestic violence.
She reportedly lodged a complaint at Chandrasekharpur Police Station in Bhubaneswar alleging that Riya’s husband went to the extent of hitting her with beer bottle.
The woman further alleged that the couple often locked her in the house besides physically and mentally torturing her. She claimed that she managed to escape from their house.
Sources said police have initiated a probe into the matter following the complaint lodged by the woman.
Actor Riya Dey and her husband were not immediately available for comment.
