Woman, Daughter Lose Limbs After Being Hit By Train In Odisha’s Sonepur

Sonepur: A woman and her three-year-old daughter were critically injured after being hit by a running train near Dungripali railway station in Sonepur on Sunday.

The injured duo were identified as Lalita Nayak (35) and her daughter Luci of Andharibanch village in Sonepur.

According to sources, the train hit them while they were crossing the railway tracks near Dungripali railway station. The woman lost one of her legs and the girl lost her foot in the accident.

Fire Service department personnel reached the spot and took the mother and daughter to Dungripali hospital, where their conditions are stated to be critical.
