Woman, Daughter Run Over By Train, Son With Critical Injures Admitted To MKCG MCH In Odisha

Berhampur: A 25-year-old woman from Odisha’s Ganjam district and her 8-month-old daughter were killed, while her 4-year-old son sustained critical injuries after she allegedly jumped before a speeding train near Palasa on Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border with her two children last evening.

The deceased been identified as U Srabani and U Shree of Chidipudi village under Patrapur block. Her son, U Harshat, has been admitted to Berhampur MKCG Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.

Srabani took the step over some family dispute, some reports suggested while others said that the woman could not see the approaching train approaching as she was holding her children, leading to the accident.

Meanwhile, personnel from the Palasa Government Railway Police (GRP) arrived at the accident spot and seized the two bodies for postmortem.
