Jharsuguda: A woman was electrocuted to death after coming in contact with a live electric wire at Kherual village under Badamala police limits in Jharsuguda district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Swarnakanti Bhoi (26).

According to reports, the incident took place when Bhoi was spreading a wet cloth on a wire that touched an electric wire. Her two-and-a half-year-old child, who tried to rescue her, also sustained serious injuries.
The child was rescued by the neighbours and admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition.
