Sonepur: A young woman was allegedly gangraped by three miscreants behind a college campus in Odisha’s Subarnapur district.
As per sources, the incident took place in Dharmasala area under the jurisdiction of Biramaharajpur police station in the district when the woman was returning home from work on Friday night.
Police have detained two suspects and launched an investigation into the incident following a complaint lodged by the survivor.
As per the complaint, the victim, who works at an automobile service centre, was returning home after work when the accused allegedly sprayed a chemical on her. After she lost consciousness, they reportedly committed the crime.
She was allegedly stopped and attacked by three miscreants wearing masks near the ITI.
The two detained persons are being interrogated by the police and investigation is in progress.
