Balasore: More than 50 women ransacked the office of Baliapal Block Development Office (BDO) in Balasore district alleging irregularities in distribution of ration cards on Tuesday.
The protestors barged into the office and damaged furniture and other stationery items.
“Names of more than 70 persons of Jamukanda panchayat under Baliapal block eligible for ration cards have not been included in the list. The officials concerned have failed to verify and include the names of genuine beneficiaries, despite repeated requests,” an agitator alleged.
