Berhampur: Women set ablaze an illegal liquor manufacturing unit at Pitala village under Seragada police limits in Ganjam district on Monday.
According to sources, the women armed with sticks and brooms ransacked the unit and then set it on fire.
They alleged that the local administration took no action against the unit, which was ruining illegally, despite repeated complaints, forcing them to take the law into their hands.
On being informed, Hinjli police reached the spot and began investigation.
