Ahmedabad: Odisha clinched their first gold medal at the 36th National Games here on Friday, thanks to the efforts of the womenโs rugby team.
The Odisha girls outplayed Maharashtra 22-0 in the Rugby 7s final.

In the semifinal, Odisha had surprised favourites 12-10.
Weightlifter Sneha Soren had given Odisha their first medal of the Games by winning bronze in the womenโs 48 kg event.
