Bhubaneswar: To strengthen the education system, the School and Mass Education Department has decided to make it mandatory for teachers posted in state-run schools in the Odisha capital to report for seven hours on duty.
The Block Education Office (BEO) issued instructions to the headmasters of all schools under Bhubaneswar Block Education Office (BEO) in this regard on Wednesday.
Now, the working hours for the teachers will be from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Other instructions are as follows:
- The authorities have to display School Development Plan (SDP) and Student Success Plan (SSP) at schools.
- Install water filter for students.
- Every classroom should have a mat.
- The teachers have to remain present during midday meal serving time.
- The school authorities have been asked to take care of students and prepare them regularly for ‘Garima Award’. If they fail to bag the award, the school will be proved as ‘defaulter’.
