Xiaomi has sold over 1.5 million devices within the first few hours of going on sale, with 10 devices selling every second during the sales on Amazon, Flipkart and its own site.
Smartphones contributed most to these numbers, the company stated. Also five of top 10 selling smartphones in the sales were Xiaomi’s.
Amongst Smart TVs, Mi TVs were among the top two. Mi Bands were also in the top two of the three bestsellers in wearables category. In Air Purifier category too, Mi Air Purifier 2S was the bestseller.
Mi Power Banks were among the top two out of the three bestsellers in the power bank category. So was the Mi Security Camera.
Both Amazon India and Flipkart saw a huge growth in sales during their annual sales. Amazon sold premium smartphones worth over Rs 750 crore in the first 36 hours of the sale with 91 per cent of new customers coming from tier 2 and tier 3 towns.
