Lucknow: At least 12 people were injured after a vehicle in Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath’s convoy met with an accident here on Saturday night.
Among the injured were five police personnel and some kids, according to eyewitnesses.
The chief minister, who was returning home from Lucknow airport, escaped unhurt in the mishap.
The accident took place after the fleet’s anti-demo vehicle flipped over as it tried to avoid hitting a dog and collided with another car.
The state’s quick response teams rushed to the spot, and made arrangements to shift the injured to the civil hospital for medical attention.
Director General of Police Prashant Kumar, Lucknow Police Commissioner SB Shirodkar and Additional Chief Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad have gone to the hospital to check about those who received injuries.
