You Are Causing Me Real Problem, President Biden Tells PM Modi; Know Why

New Delhi: US President Joe Biden and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese are facing peculiar ‘problems’, because of Narendra Modi.

The global leaders made the ‘revelations’ to the Indian PM during a meeting of Quad leaders in Hiroshima, on the sidelines of the G7 Summit.

Both Biden and Albanese were in awe of Modi’s popularity, referring to the Indian leader’s upcoming visits to their respective countries.

“You are causing me a real problem. Next month we have a dinner for you in Washington. Everyone in the country wants to come. I have run out of tickets. You think I am kidding? Ask my team. I am getting phone calls from people I have never heard of before. Everyone from movie stars to relatives. You are too popular,” President Biden told Modi, as reported by ANI.

Biden added smilingly that he should take the Indian PM’s autograph.

The Australian PM, who was present there, took the cue from Biden and said that even he was unable to accommodate requests for tickets to a community reception for Modi in Sydney. The venue, with a capacity of 20,000 people, is sold out but Albanese said he is still getting requests for tickets.

Modi will travel to the US on a state visit next month following an invitation from President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

As for Australia, Modi will arrive in Sydney on May 23 from Papua New Guinea, which is his next destination from Japan.
