Berhampur: Police have arrested an anti-social for allegedly kidnapping and attempting to rape a physically challenged girl in Ganjam district.
Both the miscreant and the young girl belong to Nabaratnapur village under Aska police station.
According to police, when the accused was trying to rape the girl, the villagers nabbed him and rescued the girl. They beat him up, tonsured his head and garlanded him with shoes.
Later they informed the Aska police and handed over the miscreant to them.
