Nuapada: Barely three days after he was administered COVID-19 vaccine, 27-year-old Nanikaram Keut died at VIMSAR in Burla on Tuesday. The health department though confirmed that vaccination is not the cause of the death.
Keut from Dianmunda village in Nuapada district was working as a security guard at the Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
According to sources, he took the COVID-19 vaccine shot on January 23. Keut was diagnosed with bleeding disorder, severe anemia and intracerebral haemorrhage.
The youth was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital, but was later shifted to VIMSAR after his condition deteriorated. He passed away while undergoing treatment at the medical facility.
