Balasore: A youth was electrocuted at Tentulimunda village of Alanda Saranga panchayat under Sadar police limits in Balasore late on Sunday, while tying flags as a part of preparations for a workers’ rally of a political party. The deceased has been identified as Akshaya Jena of Ranipada village. He came in contact with an 11 KV live electric wire and sustained critical injuries. He was rescued by locals immediately and sent to the Balasore DHH. But doctors declared him brought dead. On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
