Rayagada: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a field near his village village in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Monday morning. He was set to get married on Tuesday.
The tragic incident was reported from Baising village under the jurisdiction of Seshkhal police station in the district. The deceased has been identified as Siddhant Ganta, a resident of Baising village.
Sources said villagers spotted his body lying in a farmland on the outskirts of the village in the morning. His motorcycle was found abandoned a short distance away from the spot. They immediately informed the youth’s family members and the local sarpanch about the incident.
Alleging that Sindhant might have been murdered, his family members have demanded a thorough investigation into the incident.
On being informed, a team from Seshkhal police station visited the spot and sent the for post-mortem. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
Locals said Siddhant had gone to Rayagada town on some work on Sunday. When he did not return home till late at night, his family became worried. His body was found in the field in the morning.
