Bhubaneswar: A youth from Odisha’s Khurda has been missing for the last six days after attending a birthday party in Bhubaneswar.
The youth, identified as Satyajit Das, was a Plus III student and resident of Gandhi Padia in Khurda.
According to sources, Satyajit went to a café in the Bharatpur area with his friends for a birthday celebration on November 1 and mysteriously disappeared thereafter. His family members tried to contact him over the phone when he did not return home, but got no response.
The CCTV footage from the café confirmed Satyajit’s presence there before he went missing.
Satyajit’s family members also alleged that they were made to run from one police station to another to lodge a missing complaint. They approached Khurda Town Police when Bharatpur police allegedly refused to look into their complaint.
Though two cases have now been registered, it is being alleged that the police are taking the matter lightly.
Sources further stated that Satyajit’s family is also likely to arrive at Bharatpur police station on Friday to provide details on his disappearance. Police are also likely to record statements of his friends, who were at the café, besides analysis of his call detail records.
