Bhubaneswar: A 25-year-old youth from Odisha is among those still missing in the tragic glacier burst near Raini village in Tapovan area of Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Sunday.
A native of Dhamra area in Bhadrak district, Nagarjuna Das was working as an electrician at Tapovan Reni barrage under Rishi Ganga Power Project in Uttarakhand since November 5, 2020.
It is being suspected that he got swept away in the floodwaters.
Nagarjuna had last spoken to family members over the phone, a day before the tragedy on February 6, and became incommunicado thereafter.
He is married and a father of a three-month-old baby boy.
A total of 26 bodies were recovered till Monday evening in a massive operation launched by Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to rescue labourers trapped in tunnels following a flash flood that devasted Tapovan area.

Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar told the media that 32 people from the first tunnel and 121 from the second one are still missing.
