As per reports, the youth, identified as Jagannath Nayak, was running a fast food shop on the sea beach of Gopalpur in the district. He was staying in the rented house in the town.
The locals found him dead inside the house in the morning and informed the police. A team from Gopalpur police station and Berhampur SP went to the spot and started investigation.
The police team found that the house was locked from outside and a stone lying near the body of Jagannath. They have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.
Though the police said the cause of Jagannath’s death would be known after getting post-mortem report, his family alleged that he was murdered by some miscreants.
