Bhubaneswar: A young man allegedly attempted to take his life on Monday morning by climbing onto the roof of Mangalabag police station in Odisha’s Cuttack.
According to sources, the youth first slit his wrist before climbing to the rooftop, where he then tried to hang himself using a piece of cloth secured to a cable wire. He was rescued by Fire Services personnel and rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH), where his condition is stated to be critical.

While police have started an investigation, the identity of the youth and the motive behind the desperate act is yet to be ascertained.
