Rourkela: A youth’s body was found hanging in Swami Nigamananda Ashram premises in Chhend Colony of Rourkela on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Suryanarayan Rath. According to sources, Rath did not open the door of his room on Friday morning. Later, Ashram inmates found him hanging from the room’s ceiling fan.
On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
Rath was working at a college in Rourkela. He had been staying in the ashram and teaching the children there.
The reason behind Rath’s death is yet to be ascertained.
