Bhubaneswar: Tension prevailed at OUAT Square here on Saturday after a group of youths clashed with police during Ganesh idol immersion.
According to reports, members of Kandhasahi Puja Committee had an argument with some police personnel during the procession. The situation took a violent turn when they scuffled with the cops. Following which, police resorted to lathicharge to disperse the crowd.
