Jaipur: Yuzvendra Chahal may be out of favour as far as national team selection is concerned. But the leg-spinner is continuing to make his presence felt in IPL.
On Monday, the Rajasthan Royals leggie became the first bowler to bag 200 wickets in IPL’s 17-year history.
The 33-year-old climbed the 200-wicket peak by dismissing Mohammad Nabi of Mumbai Indians in their clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium here.
Chahal deceived Nabi with the third delivery of his spell to have him caught and bowled.

Chahal, who formed a lethal spin combination with Kuldeep Chahal in white ball cricket for India, last played an ODI in January 2023 while his last T20 International appearance was in August 2023.
But he has not lost motivation and is trying his best to catch the Indian selectors’ attention.
Chahal has been an asset for Rajasthan Royals since joining the Jaipur-based franchise in 2022. That very season, he emerged as the highest wicket-taker with 27 scalps in 17 games as Rajasthan finished runners-up after losing to debutants Gujarat Titans in the final.
