Bhubaneswar: Altogether 1,69,200 organised crimes were registered in different parts of Odisha up to September 2025, the sate Assembly was informed on Monday.
Sharing this information in reply to a question in the House, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that the state had recorded 2,14,113 organised crimes last year.
The Chief Minister shared district-wise data, including those from the Commissionerate Police of Bhubaneswar–Cuttack. He said Bhubaneswar Urban Police District (UPD) registered 11,324 organised crime cases till September this year, compared to 14,416 cases during the same period last year.
Similarly, the number of organised crimes stood at 7,226 in Cuttack UPD till September, marginally lower than the 7,268 cases reported last year, the data showed.
There are 34 police districts in Odisha at present. These include two railway police districts and two Urban Police Districts—Bhubaneswar UPD and Cuttack UPD.
