Boudh/Balasore: A person was killed while 12 others sustained serious injuries in two separate road accidents in Boudh and Balasore districts on Wednesday.
Driver of a truck died after the vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a canal at Mashinapada under Manamunda police limits in Boudh district. The ill-fated vehicle was heading towards Balangir from Khurda when the accident took place, police sources said.
In Balasore, 12 persons were injured when the bus in which they were travelling dashed against a truck near Simulia College Square. The injured persons, including the driver, were admitted to Bhadrak hospital.
Over-speeding might have led to the accident, police sources said.
