Kendrapada: A person was killed while another suffered severe injures after being struck by lightning at Choti panchayat under Debris police limits in Kendrapada district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Gouranga Mohanty (65). Anand Mohanty, who sustained injuries in the incident, was admitted to a local hospital.
On Tuesday, a couple was killed in lightning strike at Narasinghpur in Cuttack. The mishap took place when they were returning home from a nearby field after grazing cattle.
