Nuapada: A person died and two others were critically injured after two trucks collided head-on near Daldali Square on NH-353 in Nuapada district early on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Pramod Das.
The accident took place when driver of one of the trucks lost control over the vehicle. He was reportedly over speeding. The deceased and the injured were the occupants of the vehicles. The injured persons were rescued and rushed to Nuapada district headquarters hospital by some locals. Their condition is stated to be stable, a police officer said.
The vehicles have been seized and investigation is on to determine the exact cause of the accident, the officer added.
