Berhampur: More than 10 persons, including a child, were injured after a live electric wire snapped and fell into the pond in which they were bathing on Wednesday morning.
The incident took place at Gudiali village under Kabisuryanagar police limits in the district.

Receiving information regarding the mishap, fire officials rushed to the spot and rescued the victims from the water body after switching off the power supply.
The victims were immediately admitted to hospitals in Aska and Kabisuryanagar.
Following the incident, the locals blamed the electric employees for negligence that led to snapping of the power line.
