100 Attend Advanced Trauma Care CME-Cum-Workshop At Bhubaneswar’s KIMS
Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), a constituent of KIIT Deemed-to-be-University, organised the second advanced trauma care CME-cum-workshop, on the theme ‘Upgrading skill and improving outcome’ in trauma patients.
The two-day workshop was conducted at KAABEEL Simulation Centre of KIMS and arranged by Department of Critical Care Medicine last weekend.
About 100 delegates from diverse specialities such as anesthesiology, surgery, orthopaedics and emergency medicine attended the workshop.
KIMS Principal Prof. Ambika Prasad Mohanty, Medical Superitendent Prof. Ramachandra Das, HoD Critical Care Medicine Dr Sujit Pradhan and Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Ajay Bahl, Director of Emergency Services, Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, inaugurated the programme.
One of the highlights of the workshop was providing real-life case scenarios to delegates for hands-on practice.
The purpose of the workshop was to enhance skills of healthcare personnel in Odisha so that they can provide state-of-art trauma care facilities and save more lives.
Dr Devi Prasad Dash was the course director and Dr Sansay Mohapatra the workshop coordinator.
