Thane: A 15-year-old girl in Thane area of Maharashtra allegedly committed suicide by consuming rat poison after her mother scolded her for excessive use of mobile phone.
The incident was reported from Ambernath in Maharashtra’s Thane district. The girl consumed the poison on September 26 and died on October 2 during medical treatment at a local hospital, police said.
Based on the medical report, the police registered a case of accidental death.
